Appraisal Training

Performance appraisals are a powerful way of developing staff and maximising their potential. They are, however a process which if done badly can lead to low morale and staff turnover. Formal appraisals are just one part of an organisation's system of delegating, goal setting, coaching, motivating, and ongoing informal and formal feedback on employee performance. Because of the significance they carry it is important that managers acquire the planning and communication skills needed to increase sales, profits or productivity for the organisation.

Many managers have recognised that the skills and techniques needed for the successful appraisals can be used in their everyday work and have become multi-skilled and more efficient managers as a result. Our focus is on objectivity in the appraisal process and basing reviews upon evidence.

Appraisal Training - 2 Days

Acuity's Appraisal Training - 2 Day course is an interactive course containing a mixture of theory, discussion and practice, which provides managers with the knowledge and skills required to conduct an effective appraisal.

The course looks at the principles of (i) writing an appraisal and (ii) conducting the meeting itself.

Opportunity is given to put into practice, the knowledge you have learnt throughout the course.
